A drum scanner captures your picture pixel by pixel rather than line by line. Instead of using charged-coupling devices (CCD's) and light sensitive devices, drum scanners use photo-multiplying tubes (PMT's) to capture your image. These tubes can provide the highest quality RGB and CMYK scans.

Superchrome uses state-of-the-art digital printing technology and the latest graphic designs to produce high resolution scans. We give a new life to your digital and non digital images, slides and transparencies. Using drum scanning technology, we produce high-quality scans with accurate colour reproductions. Photographs and transparencies can be scanned at a maximum resolution of 8,000 dpi.

At Superchrome, we offer black and white drum scans as well as colour drum scans. Furthermore, we offer discounts on bulk quantities. Once the scanning process is completed, the scanned image is saved on a CD to return to you if required. The scanned images are turned into prints such as posters, laminated prints, and canvas prints.
