Drum scanning and digital imaging
High-resolution scans of photographs, transparencies, slides and negatives, ready for large format print.
Why a drum scan
A drum scanner reads the original pixel by pixel rather than line by line. Instead of the CCD sensors found in flatbed scanners it uses photomultiplier tubes, which give the highest quality RGB and CMYK scans and hold detail in shadows and highlights.
What we scan
Photographs, transparencies, slides and negatives, in colour or black and white, at up to 8,000 dpi. Standard prices cover originals from A7 to A3. See scanning prices. Larger originals are priced on request, and discounts apply to quantities.
Digital photography of originals
Digital photography of originals using Hasselblad equipment is also available, at A4 and A3.
From scan to print
Scans are supplied as RGB or CMYK files. We can then print them as posters, canvas prints or giclée fine art prints, and retouch damaged or faded originals first.
